Globalization has transformed contemporary societies by intensifying economic integration, technological innovation, cultural interaction, and international mobility. While these processes have expanded opportunities for cooperation, education, and scientific development, they have simultaneously generated significant challenges for preserving national identity, cultural heritage, traditional values, and linguistic diversity. The rapid dissemination of global media, digital technologies, and transnational cultural products increasingly influences the worldview, behavior, and identity formation of younger generations. Consequently, protecting national characteristics while maintaining openness to global development has become one of the central priorities of modern states. This study examines the major challenges associated with preserving national identity in the context of globalization from socio-cultural, educational, and political perspectives. Using qualitative document analysis and comparative methodology, the research synthesizes contemporary theoretical approaches and international experiences regarding cultural preservation, multiculturalism, and sustainable development. Particular attention is given to the role of educational institutions, families, cultural organizations, public policies, and digital technologies in strengthening national consciousness and promoting intercultural dialogue. The findings indicate that national identity can be effectively preserved through value-based education, cultural continuity, language protection, civic participation, and inclusive educational reforms rather than through cultural isolation. The experience of Uzbekistan demonstrates that modernization and globalization can coexist with the preservation of national traditions when supported by comprehensive cultural policies and active community participation. The study concludes that strengthening national identity while encouraging intercultural understanding contributes to social cohesion, democratic development, and sustainable national progress.
