Abstract

To evaluate the clinical, microbiological, and preventive efficacy of correcting intestinal microbiocenosis in addition to standard antibacterial therapy in the comprehensive treatment of recurrent bacterial vulvovaginitis in adolescent girls.
The statistical model was developed based on data from 120 adolescent girls aged 12–17 years. Participants were divided into a main group and a control group of 60 patients each. In the main group, a probiotic approach aimed at correcting intestinal microbiocenosis was administered alongside standard etiotropic treatment, whereas the control group received the standard treatment regimen. Clinical symptoms, vaginal pH, as well as microscopic and microbiological parameters were assessed before and after treatment, as well as during the 3- and 6-month follow-up periods.
