This article presents all hydrodynamic well research methods used in field practice, which are divided into two groups: the steady-state withdrawal method and the pressure recovery method. The steady-state withdrawal method is applied in production and injection wells and is most effective in wells equipped with electric submersible pumps (ESPs). The essence of this method is to establish, through field measurements, the relationship between flow rate and bottomhole pressure.
