Journal Policies
1. Open Access Policy
All Eureka Open Access Journals provide immediate open access to all published content, supporting the principle that making research freely available to the public promotes global knowledge exchange.
All articles are published under a Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY 4.0), allowing others to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts, as long as proper credit is given to the authors and the original source.
There are no subscription barriers or paywalls. Authors retain copyright of their work and grant the publisher the right of first publication. Readers may freely access, share, and reuse the content in accordance with the license terms.
2. Peer Review Policy
All submissions undergo a rigorous peer review process to ensure high academic standards and originality.
The review model is typically double-blind — both the author(s) and reviewers remain anonymous throughout the process.
Steps in the Peer Review Process:
-
Initial Screening: Each submission is checked for scope, formatting, and plagiarism using reliable software tools.
-
Editorial Evaluation: The Editor-in-Chief or Section Editor evaluates the paper for quality, relevance, and ethical compliance.
-
Peer Review: At least two independent reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on originality, clarity, methodology, and contribution to the field.
-
Decision: Based on reviewers’ recommendations, the Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision: accept, revise, or reject.
-
Revisions: Authors must address all reviewer comments and resubmit within the given timeline.
Reviewers are selected based on subject expertise and academic experience. All reviewers are expected to maintain confidentiality and declare any conflict of interest.
3. Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement

-
Reviewers must disclose conflicts of interest and report any suspected ethical misconduct.
3.4 Handling Misconduct
In cases of suspected misconduct (plagiarism, falsified data, unethical research), the editorial team follows COPE’s flowcharts for ethical practice, investigating transparently and taking corrective action as needed (correction, retraction, or withdrawal).
4. Copyright and Licensing Policy
Authors retain copyright of their work published in Eureka Open Access Journals.
All articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), allowing:
-
Sharing (copying and redistributing in any medium or format)
-
Adapting (remixing, transforming, and building upon the material)
for any purpose, even commercially — provided appropriate credit is given.
Each article displays the license statement and copyright information clearly on the article’s webpage and PDF.
5. Archiving and Digital Preservation Policy
To ensure long-term accessibility and preservation of all published content:
-
The journals utilize the OAI-PMH (Open Archives Initiative Protocol for Metadata Harvesting) for interoperability and data sharing.
-
Full-text content is preserved in multiple formats (HTML, PDF) within the OJS system.
-
Journals are archived via recognized repositories such as LOCKSS, CLOCKSS, PKP PN, and Internet Archive.
-
Authors are permitted to self-archive the pre-print, accepted manuscript, and published version in institutional or subject repositories, with proper citation and link to the journal version.
6. Plagiarism Policy
All manuscripts are screened using reliable anti-plagiarism tools (e.g., Turnitin, iThenticate, or PlagScan).
Manuscripts showing similarity above 20% (excluding references) may be returned to the author for revision or rejected. Repeated or severe plagiarism may lead to blacklisting.
7. Author Fees and Funding Disclosure
Most Eureka Open Access Journals operate with modest Article Processing Charges (APCs) to support editorial operations, web hosting, DOI registration, and archiving.
The exact APC amount (if applicable) is clearly stated on each journal’s website before submission.
There are no hidden charges or submission fees.
Authors are requested to disclose all sources of research funding or sponsorship in their manuscripts.
8. Editorial Board Policy
Each journal maintains a diverse Editorial Board with experts representing multiple institutions and regions.
Board members’ names, affiliations, and country of origin are displayed publicly.
Members are selected for academic expertise and contribution to the discipline, not for commercial gain.
Editorial Board composition is reviewed annually to maintain quality, integrity, and diversity.
9. Complaints and Appeals Policy
Authors or reviewers who believe that an editorial decision has been unfair or unethical may appeal by contacting the Publisher or Editorial Office.
Complaints are handled confidentially, investigated impartially, and resolved following COPE’s best practices.
10. Advertising and Marketing Policy
Eureka Open Access Journals does not display commercial, misleading, or unrelated advertising.
Promotional materials, if any, are relevant to academic and scholarly communication only and are clearly separated from editorial content.
11. Indexing and Metadata Policy
Each journal ensures accurate metadata (title, authors, ORCID IDs, affiliations, abstracts, DOIs, references) for all articles.
The metadata is distributed via OAI-PMH and may be harvested by indexing services, repositories, and search engines.
Journals regularly apply to recognized indexing services such as DOAJ, CrossRef, Google Scholar, Dimensions, and Scilit.
12. Privacy and Data Protection Policy
All personal data (names, emails, affiliations) collected through the OJS platform are used exclusively for academic publishing purposes.
Data are not shared with third parties or used for marketing.
Users can request data deletion or anonymization by contacting the editorial office at any time.
13. Frequency and Publication Schedule
Each journal publishes on a quarterly or bi-annual schedule, depending on submission volume and editorial review timelines.
Accepted articles are published online first, ensuring rapid dissemination of research results.
14. Conflicts of Interest Policy
All authors, editors, and reviewers must disclose any financial or personal conflicts of interest that may influence their work.
Disclosed conflicts are evaluated by the editorial board before publication.
15. Corrections, Retractions, and Withdrawals
If errors or misconduct are discovered post-publication:
-
Corrections are issued for minor mistakes.
-
Retractions are published for major ethical or factual issues.
-
Withdrawals are allowed before publication if requested with valid reason.
Each action is documented and remains part of the permanent record.
